In the world of digital marketing, the newsletter distribution systems play a key role. These tools not only help to maintain customer relationships, but also support marketing campaigns and contribute to increasing sales. However, choosing the right system can be a challenge, as one must take into account automation capabilities, integration capabilities and, of course, costs.

There are numerous options available on the market, but among the best known are the MailerLite, Brevo, SalesAutoPilot, Mailchimp and FluentCRM. Each system offers different functions and is aimed at a different target group. A thorough analysis is required in order to find the most suitable solution.

The aim of this article is to provide a detailed overview of these systems, with a particular focus on free packages and automation capabilities. This makes it easier to see which system offers the best value and how it can be integrated with our existing website or online shop.

MailerLite and Brevo: the automation experts

A MailerLite and the Brevo stand out in terms of their automation capabilities. MailerLite is built on simplicity, allowing you to build automation workflows with ease. The free plan allows you to create up to three visual automations, whilst the paid plan offers up to fifty automation workflows, which significantly increases the system’s flexibility. Its main drawback is that it is highly susceptible to being flagged as spam: it often flags messages as spam or phishing attempts when they mention, for example, genuine money-making opportunities or online security solutions (unfortunately, I have a fellow developer colleague who, to this day, is still unclear as to why they were blocked from the system).

A Brevo It is equally strong in the area of automation; in fact, multi-step automations are available even in the free package. This is a significant advantage, as Brevo allows you to set up complex processes without having to pay for it. The free plan allows you to send 300 emails a day, which may be sufficient for smaller businesses.

Both systems offer a wide range of automation templates, allowing us to save time and focus on the creative processes. Thanks to the flexibility and simplicity of their automation features, both systems are excellent choices, but it is worth considering which one offers the features that best suit your needs.

SalesAutoPilot and Mailchimp: flexibility and customisability

A SalesAutoPilot and the Mailchimp It is particularly strong in terms of customisability and flexibility. SalesAutoPilot offers multi-level automation and segmentation, enabling users to apply precise targeting in their campaigns. However, the free version has limited automated features, so for more extensive campaigns, it is worth opting for the paid package.

Mailchimp is renowned for its wide range of integration options and advanced targeting features. The free plan includes three active automations and five steps. The paid plans offer unlimited automation options, making it the ideal choice for larger campaigns.

Both systems allow for A/B testing, which is key to optimising campaigns. In addition, Mailchimp offers a wide range of personalisation options, such as dynamic content blocks, which ensure that users receive only the information that is relevant to them.

Thanks to their integration capabilities and flexibility, these systems can be particularly useful for those wishing to run complex campaigns. It is worth considering which system offers the best value for your business.

FluentCRM: integrations and ease of use

A FluentCRM a relatively new player on the market, standing out for its ease of use and strong integration capabilities (note: the abbreviation „CRM” in its name stands for ‘customer relationship management’). It is particularly popular amongst WordPress users, as it integrates seamlessly with WordPress-based websites and plugins. Setting up automations is straightforward, and a range of pre-designed templates helps users get started quickly.

FluentCRM’s free plan already offers a number of essential features, including simple automation and segmentation options. The paid plans offer further advanced features, such as detailed analytics and extensive automation settings.

This system can be particularly useful for those who are already familiar with the WordPress environment, as FluentCRM integrates seamlessly with other WordPress plugins. This enables users to manage all their marketing activities on a single platform, saving them time and effort.

If you’re a WordPress user and you’re looking for an easy-to-use yet powerful newsletter system, FluentCRM could be the right choice.

Free parcels and their limitations

Free parcels are attractive to many businesses, but it is always worth checking what restrictions apply. The MailerLite For example, it’s free for up to 250 subscribers and allows you to send 2,500 emails per month for free, with three visual automation workflows. This may be sufficient for smaller businesses, but as demand grows, it may soon become necessary to upgrade to a paid plan.

A Brevo Its free plan allows you to send 300 emails a day, which may also be sufficient for smaller requirements. When it comes to automation, however, Brevo has the edge, as multi-step automations are available even in the free plan.

A Mailchimp Even with the free plan, you can send one-off email marketing campaigns (newsletters), but there are strict limits on usage. The Free plan currently allows for a maximum of 250 contacts and 500 emails sent per month. For automated email sequences and more complex automation, a paid plan may be required. Paid plans offer higher sending limits and more advanced automation features.

A FluentCRM and the SalesAutoPilot Their free packages mostly offer basic features, so it is worth considering what additional options the paid packages provide and how they fit in with your business’s growth plans.

E-commerce integrations: which system is the best choice?

E-commerce platform integrations are key when selecting an email marketing system. The MailerLite can be easily integrated into the Elementor with forms, which can be an excellent choice for WordPress-based online shops. The integration is easy to set up, saving users time.

A Brevo Its integration options are somewhat more limited, but it is still compatible with popular platforms such as Shopify. However, the Brevo system does not offer as many integration options as MailerLite or Mailchimp.

A Mailchimp It offers more than 300 integrations, meaning it can be used in almost any business environment. This can be particularly beneficial if you use multiple platforms and wish to integrate them into a single system.

A FluentCRM and the SalesAutoPilot It also integrates well with WordPress-based online shops, which can be particularly useful if your business is already running on this platform. Setting up the integrations is quick and easy, which helps you work more efficiently.

Overall, the choice of newsletter platforms depends on a number of factors, including automation capabilities, integration capabilities and price. MailerLite and Brevo stand out in terms of automation, whilst Mailchimp and SalesAutoPilot are strong in terms of flexibility and customisability. FluentCRM may be a particularly attractive option for WordPress users, although in practice only its paid plan is really usable.
